The people behind Charity:Water

Ryan and I shot up to NYC this past Fri/Sat for a pre Mexico trip dinner and for a bunch of meetings and get togethers…including this one with Charity:Water founder Scott Harrison and his fiance Viktoria Alexeeva who may actually be cooler than Scott. Scott, we still love you, but Vik is pretty cool!   Charity Water is truly an inspiration…Check out their Born in September campaign.

Who is this icon?

It’s our friend Don Peebles, whose book party we just attended on the rooftop of BLT Steak!

If you’re not familiar with Don, he has a $4 billion real estate portfolio, which includes luxury hotels and residential and commercial properties in DC, NYC, Vegas and Miami.   He’s the largest African American real estate developer in America, and he’s kinda a big deal.

Scott Harrison: One of the 10 coolest people in the world?

I’m in awe of everything Scott Harrison is doing. I’ve given up my birthday gifts to raise money for his September Campaign. Scott has inspired me more than anyone ever has. Thank you Scott.

Michael Chasen=The man

I had lunch today at Zengo (I highly recommend the edamame and anything else on the menu) with Michael Chasen, the 37 year old Founder and CEO of Blackboard. Michael, if you are reading this, let me be the first to tell you that you are awesome.

Founded in 1997, Blackboard is the world’s leader in software applications and related services for education institutions. They’re a publicly traded company with a market cap of $1.2billion and $330million in annual revenue.
